Disney's Magical Express transportation

Can I use Magical Express to send my luggage to my Disney Resort but take another form of transportation from the airport myself? We want to make a stop on the way to the resort instead of going straight there.

    Hi, Angie!

If you plan to use a car service or rent a car to get to your Walt Disney World Resort hotel, then do not tag your bags with the yellow Magical Express luggage tags. To utilize the luggage service, you must use the motorcoach as your transportation to your hotel.

Since you plan to use another form of transportation, simply retrieve your own luggage at baggage claim upon arrival at the Orlando Airport. Once you get your luggage, you can head to your transportation and begin your magical vacation!

If you decide to leave al the driving to the wonderful drivers of Disney's Magical Express, make sure you are signed up to use the service, and you will receive your travel documents about 3 weeks prior to your vacation. When you land at Orlando, proceed to B-Side, Level 1 and follow the signs to the Magical Express. Here you will scan your MagicBand then board your motorcoach. The commute to the resorts is about 45 minutes - 1 hour, depending on traffic and the number of resort stops.

There is also a fun new service at Walt Disney World - Minnie Vans! Book a ride on the Lyft app on your smart phone, and a Minnie Van will whisk you wherever you need to go within Disney property (see Lyft app for pricing). So fun - but I want a Minnie Van of my own to drive at home!

Wishing you a magical visit and say "HI" to Mickey Mouse for me!
