We are going to Magic Kingdom with my 2 year old boy. Can I bring a bag? What can I bring in it? Can I bring food like sandwich or fruits for my son? Thanks

    Hi Keren,

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I'm happy to tell you that you can brink a backpack or bag with all the supplies you need to make your son's visit a comfortable one. You can bring food and beverages for your son or other members of your family, if you wish. The only restrictions is no glass or alcohol. When my children were little, I liked to have a small, six-pack sized cooler bag with snacks and drinks tucked into the basket of the stroller.

I especially recommend having either a water bottle or boxed juices to stay hydrated. You can get a cup of ice water free at any quick service restaurant to refill your water bottle.

Because your son is 2, you should also know that his admission is free and that he can eat free in any of the Walt Disney World restaurants as long as you share your meal. This works especially well at the buffets, such as Crystal Palace in the Magic Kingdom.  That is one of my favorite character meals, which includes visits with Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore and Piglet.

With a young one, the Baby Care Centers in each theme park can be a great asset. They offer a cool, quiet place to change a diaper, have a rest or a snack or rock to sleep. At Magic Kingdom, the Baby Care Center is near Crystal Palace.

I hope that helps you prepare for a magical visit with your young son. For other tips, please check out the planning guide for visiting with preschoolers.

    Enjoy,

    Wilma
