    Kaylyn from AR Asked

Should we take my 2.5yo to Magic Kingdom on Sunday (when we are well-rested, but possibly a lot of crowds due to MLK Day) or should we go to Magic Kingdom on Tuesday (possibly very tired, not fewer crowds). Traveling 1/14/17-1/18/17. Thanks!

Hi, Kaylyn! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thanks for bringing this question to us. I cannot even begin to tell you how many times I have agonized over the "perfect" itinerary. So many times I will set our daily itinerary and have Advance Dining Reservation made, only to swap up days later and be back to square one.

I can understand your desire to pick the perfect day to visit Magic Kingdom Park, especially when you are coming to Walt Disney World Resort during what is usually a busy holiday weekend. Reading through your question, I feel like you know what choice you need to make but just need a little reassurance. Knowing how hard it can be to travel with a toddler, I will definitely recommend that you consider visiting Magic Kingdom Park on that Sunday when you are well-rested. That last part really is key, Kaylyn. I cannot overstate how magical of a day you can have when everyone is rested and ready to search out all of the wonder the park holds. I worry that if you head there on Tuesday, everyone will be worn out and grumpy, something that even a sprinkling of pixie dust can overcome!

I would also like to recommend to you that you consider coming to the park as early as possible, to take advantage of lower crowds early in the morning, and then taking a break of some sort mid-day. I assume that your toddler still takes naps and will likely need a good one after a morning full of excitement. If you are staying at one of the Resort hotels, this can be easily accomplished with a bus ride back to your room. If you are staying off property, maybe you can talk your toddler into resting at a quiet spot, such as Carousel of Progress, The Hall of Presidents, Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover, and the Baby Care Centers.

Please stop by again if you have any other questions for us, Kaylyn! We love to help Guests make their trips extra magical!
