Christmas on Main Street

We will be at Magic Kingdom (for the first time ever!) on December 24th and would love to see Elsa light up the castle. Can you tell me what time the Frozen Holiday wish show starts?

    Hi Amanda,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thank you for your question. My son is Queen Elsa’s number one fan, so seeing A Frozen Holiday Wish was an absolute must for my family’s holiday visit to Walt Disney World last week. In his words, the show is “amazing and beautiful,” and I had tears in my eyes watching him as he watched Elsa using her ice magic to cover Cinderella Castle with glittering ice and snow.

My son loved the show so much that I stopped a Cast Member to ask if Elsa would be performing her magic every day, and she told me that yes, Elsa lights up Cinderella Castle every day during the holiday season! At this time, the show is taking place nightly at 6:15 p.m., with an extra showing on Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party nights at 8:15 p.m. Amanda, please note that times are subject to change, so please consult a Times Guide as you enter Magic Kingdom Park on Christmas Eve (or ask a friendly Cast Member) to be sure you don’t miss this merry and magical show.

Since this show is a priority for your family, plan to secure a spot close to the Castle Forecourt Stage at least 30 minutes early if you want to be sure you have a good view of both the stage show and the Castle lights. My tween is very tall, and she couldn’t see Elsa at all because of the number of people in front of us, including several Guests who had their children up on their shoulders. Another option is to view the show from Main Street, U.S.A. – from this vantage point, you’ll have a great view of the Castle lights, but a distant of Elsa and the other characters. When shows and parades are a priority for my family, our strategy is to grab a tasty snack from the Main Street Confectionery and settle in early.

I hope you have the most merry and magical Christmas Eve at Magic Kingdom Park, Amanda!
