Hi, Does Magic Kingdom still have the Family of the Day? Are you able to go into the park an hour before it opens to visit the shops on Main Street? Thank you for your time!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Brandi! Your family’s magical moments are drawing closer, and I know you’re excited! Early mornings at Magic Kingdom are a favorite part of my vacation, as the park wakes up and stretches it’s magic into every land.

When you’re headed to Magic Kingdom as a Walt Disney World Resort guest, you’ll be able to enter and pass the touchpoints about 45-60 minutes before the park officially opens. Your family will be able to explore Main Street, U.S.A., play some Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom, sign up for a haircut at Harmony Barber Shop, grab a quick cuppa Joe from Starbucks or shop for some early souvenirs in the Main Street Emporium. I underpacked for my trip last week so this early shopping start was helpful to grab one of those new Spirit Jerseys that everyone’s donning! About 10 minutes before official park opening, you can gather around Cinderella Forecourt Stage to watch Let The Magic Begin, the new welcome show that replaced the Train Station Welcome show, and sadly, the Family of the Day. While you won’t be able to catch a glimpse of any families on stage, be sure to keep your eyes open for small magic in the wee mornings. You’ll find one way trolley rides, character interactions, wonderful park snacks and perhaps a few short attraction lines before your FastPass+ reservations start for the day.

If I can help you arrange any plans for your morning, please let me know. I’m happier than Fairy Godmother to assist. Your trip will be magic, believe it or not! Bibbidi Bobbidi BOO! ~ Lindsey P.
