    Kandace from AL Asked

What does the magic band do? Do we have to have one if using the Memory maker? Or are they separate from each other?

    Hi Kandace!

MagicBand are just a cute and fun way to express your Disney love by showing off your favorite Disney characters as you journey through the parks.

MagicBands and Admission Cards are interchangeable and are required to enter each of the theme parks, access the FastPass+ lines, as well as, linking your PhotoPass pictures and Memory Maker. A MagicBand is not required to use during your Disney vacation, but you will need to have an Admission Card. You can pick up an Admission card at any Guest Relations location at the entrance of each theme park or Disney Springs

After you take a photo with the Disney characters or in front the many iconic spots across the theme park and resorts, be sure to hand the PhotoPass photographer you Admission Card or MagicBand to scan and store your pictures. Be sure to ask the PhotoPass photographer about magic shots around the parks. Once you view them in your My Disney Experience account, you'll be amazed!

Have the most magical time, Kandace! Please stop by and see us again if you have more questions.
