Do magic bands going through xray at the airport hurt them

    Hi, Susan!

The super fun and colorful MagicBands will be fine going through any X-ray machines at the airport. Feel free to pop your band on your wrist as soon as you leave your house as you head out for your magical vacation!

Whether or not you actually wear your MagicBand in the airport, make sure to at least have it in your carry-on bag. You will need your band for Disney's Magical Express transportation to your resort, then you will want your MagicBand so you can start your vacation as soon as you arrive. Remember that your MagicBand will serve as your room key, as well as it should be linked to your My Disney Experience account to access your theme park tickets, dining credits (if applicable), your FastPass+ access, and will also allow you to charge back to your room if you have a credit card on file.

About a month before your vacation, in addition to MagicBands, you will receive yellow luggage tags for any checked bags. If you attach these tags to checked luggage, your bags will be collected and delivered to your resort hotel room about 3 hours after your arrival. (This is why you should keep your MagicBand with you as it may be several hours until you see your checked bags!)

So put on your MagicBand, and get ready for some magical fun! See you real soon!
