    Enrique from NY Asked

Do magic bands work at Disneyland? Is my annual pass at Disney World good for discounts on merchandise and food?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Enrique. I hope you're having a magical week.

At this time, Disneyland Resort does not utilize the same technology that Walt Disney World Resort uses, in terms of MagicBands. As a long-time Disneyland Resort lover who has been to Walt Disney World Resort several times, I must admit I enjoy the convenience of having a MagicBand: resort room key, a form of payment at dining or retail locations, PhotoPass, FastPasses...all rolled into one handy dandy Mouseketool!

Unfortunately, your Walt Disney World Annual Passport is not eligible for discounts on dining and merchandise at the Disneyland Resort, with the exception of a Disney Premier Passport. Guests with a Disney Premier Passport are able to visit both Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort parks without blockout dates, and take advantage of discounts at both resorts as well.

I hope this information is helpful for you, Enrique. If you have further trip planning questions, please visit us on the Panel again.

    See you real soon,

Meet the Panelist: Kiki, California

I am a wife and mother to 2 children, a 14 year old daughter and 9 year old son. I have always enjoyed going to Disneyland Resort as a child and now that I am a mother, I love watching my children experience Disneyland Resort through their eyes. It is a true delight seeing my daughter wear a ball gown walking side by side with Cinderella or my son jumping gleefully after he defeated Darth Maul in a light saber duel! Learn More About Kiki
