    Lacey from AL Asked

Can I still get Magic Bands if staying off property (not at a Disney resort)? If so, how much extra? Thanks.

    Hi Lacey!

Absolutely! MagicBands have become a must-have! They are fun and come in handy! While it is not required if you are staying off-site, it is a convenient thing to have. When staying off-site, the only use you would have for the MagicBand would be for the park tickets and FastPass + selections. You could purchase a MagicBand online at www.disneystore.com, via the Shop Disney Parks App on your mobile device or at one of the many shops located in the theme parks or Disney Springs. The only advantage to purchasing them in advance is that you can link them to your My Disney Experience Account and have them set up and ready to go when you arrive at the parks. If you purchase your park tickets in advance, you can link those as well to your My Disney Experience Account and simply bypass the ticket windows and head over to the entrance gates with your MagicBands. The prices vary as some are limited edition but I have seen them range from $12.99 - $50.00.

Did you know?: Guests have the option to create and personalize MagicBands at Walt Disney World Resort. The MagicBand on Demand stations are located inside the Tomorrowland Light & Power Co. location near Space Mountain in Magic Kingdom Park. These can also be purchased at the D-Tech on Demand boutique at the Marketplace Co-Op in Disney Springs Marketplace or Star Wars Launch Bay in Disney's Hollywood Studios. To view some of the artwork options and for more information, please visit: Retail MagicBand on Demand.
