with the magic bands, does the park still clear during extra magic hour evenings since you no longer show a room card? is there a way to differentiate Disney resort guests and others? Thanks for all that you do!

Hi Katrina!   Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel, we are very happy you stopped by with your question.   One of the great perks that comes along with staying at a Disney Resort hotel is the availability to take part in Extra Magic Hours.  During Extra Magic Hours, select parks are either open early or stay open late for on-site Guests to enjoy.    I find that I can get most of my favorite attractions in with little or no wait during this pixie-dusted time in the parks.

For morning Extra Magic Hours, Guests will need to touch MagicBands to enter the theme parks.   If you are not staying at a Disney Resort Hotel, touch points will not allow you to enter the theme parks early.   During Evening Extra Magic Hours, a Cast Member will be at each attraction entrance asking Guests to touch their MagicBands in order to  verify they are staying at a Disney Resort hotel.   Off-site Guests would not be able to enter the queue and would be directed towards the exit.

Enjoy your time at The Most Magical Place on Earth.  If I can be of any help in the future, please let me know.
