We still have our Magic Bands from a family trip in 2015 and they show as active on our Disney account. Am I reading the online info correctly? Can we actually re-use them for our upcoming 2020 trip? So amazing, if possible.

Welcome to Disney Parks Moms Panel, Melanie!

The short answer to your great question about re-using your current MagicBands is YES!

When Guests travel to Walt Disney World, they may receive a MagicBand as part of their vacation package, but Guests may also purchase MagicBands through Shop Disney or even at many park and resort hotel locations. All of these super-convenient MagicBands communicate with your My Disney Experience account, enabling you to access all of those magical plans you've made for your stay. So cool, right?

Be sure to download the My Disney Experience mobile app prior to arrival so that you can check all of your plans on the go, too. All of those FastPass+ plans, Advanced Dining Reservations, even Disney PhotoPass Service pics, will be accessible from the palm of your hand...and through just a tap of those MagicBands you saved from your prior trip. Well done, Melanie!

Enjoy planning your visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth. Be sure to send us more questions as you think of them, too. We love to help!
