If the magic bands don't fit my young grandchildren, do you have any suggestions on what to do with them? Do they even need them if under 2?

    Hi, there!

Mary, I'm so excited to hear you'll be visiting the Walt Disney World Resort with your grandchildren. You're sure to have a Grand Adventure together!

All Guests of Disney Resort hotels receive complimentary MagicBands, even itty bitty Guests. It's just one of the many benefits of staying at a Disney Resort hotel! Guests under the age of 3 do not need a MagicBand for entrance to the theme parks or any FastPass+ queues, but they're certainly welcome to wear them. MagicBands can be sized down by removing the inner band from the outer gray strap. I always do this for my sons' MagicBands for a better fit on their little wrists. My daughter is only 2-years old, however, and even a sized-down MagicBand is still a little too bulky for her. Since she doesn't really need the MagicBand for entry, she doesn't wear it!

An alternative to wearing a MagicBand on your wrist is wearing it on a MagicKeeper. The removable icon from a MagicBand can be placed into a MagicKeeper and worn from a lanyard, belt loop, or bag! How cool is that? MagicKeepers can be purchased online at shopDisney.com or at select retail locations throughout the Walt Disney World Resort.

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Mary. Please let me know if you have any other questions about traveling with little ones in tow!
