We will have magic bands and DDP for our visit. Will we still need to carry cash to pay gratuities for TS meals? Also, what is an acceptable amount for to leave for housekeeping at Saratoga Springs resort? Better to leave daily or at end of stay?

Hi Jill! Congratulations on your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World Resort. You're going to love the new MagicBands - it's your room key, theme park ticket, access to FastPass+ selections, PhotoPass card and optional payment account all in one.

We really enjoy the value and convenience of the Disney Dining Plan - as you'll discover there's a fantastic variety of great food to sample and the Dining Plan makes it so easy. I love being able to make our dining reservation up to 180 days in advance at most Walt Disney World Resort restaurants. For gratuities we just use our debit card, but you can also use your MagicBands if you link a credit card as a payment option.

I think the housekeeping Cast Members at the Walt Disney World Resorts are real-life fairies! It makes me so happy to come back to our villa to find all the tiny details have been taken care of. If and what you choose to give is a personal choice determined by a variety of factors. I personally don't follow any rule of thumb,it changes with each visit but I average between $2 - $5 a daily then usually $20 - $30 at the very end of my stay in an envelope with the Cast Member's name to make sure it goes to the right person. Sites like TripAdvisor recommend $2 - $3 a day, but I suggest using your own judgment based on your overall experience.

I hope your upcoming vacation is magical and memorable.
