    Heather from FL Asked

I have 5 magic bands associated with my account one of them is brand new. Am I able to reassign the new one to my youngest child (3) now that she has to have her own band?

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Heather! Congratulations on your vacation to Walt Disney World.

Don’t you just love the ease of MagicBands? There’s nothing like accessing your park tickets, FastPass+ reservations and Memory Maker account with just the touch of a MagicBand.

As long as you haven’t activated your new MagicBand by linking it to your My Disney Experience account, you should be able to assign it to your youngest child. However, if it’s already been set up on your account, unfortunately, MagicBands are non-transferrable. So once a MagicBand or MagicBand 2 is linked to a My Disney Experience account, it cannot be deactivated and linked to a new account or transferred to a new person managed by your account.

However, if you have an upcoming stay at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, you’ll each receive a new MagicBand, including your youngest child. In fact, just last year our six-month-old daughter received her very own MagicBand. If you’re not staying at a Disney Resort hotel, you can always purchase additional MagicBands online or at one of the Walt Disney World Resort merchandise shops.

If you have any other questions please let us know. Have a magical day!
