magic band question! do you need to have bands at hotel check in? do they need to be coded for room access? we have different arrival and departure dates, should the first person checking in have all the bands?

    Hi Lori,

In my experience, I arrived an entire day after our first guest checking into our room and I didn't need to visit the front desk whatsoever. My MagicBand was working from the moment I stepped into the Disney's Magical Express queue, and all throughout my arrival day. The first arriving guest will need to meet with the front desk and arrange for charging privileges. At this time, you'll be able to ask any questions you might have about your MagicBands and ensure your My Disney Experience account is connected (including your FastPass+ selections.)

I hope my answer was helpful, Lori, and keep in mind MyMagic+ is still in testing phases. My experience might differ slightly from yours, but I encourage you to reach out to Disney directly with any questions pertaining to your My Disney Experience account by calling (407) 939-4357.

    Best wishes,
