Can you use your magic band to purchase from park food carts or counter service?

    Hi Katherine!

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. MagicBands add so much convenience to a Walt Disney World Resort vacation. It is so nice to be able to have access to your Walt Disney World Resort theme park tickets, FastPass+ reservations and Memory Maker account with just a touch of your MagicBand. I love that I don't have to worry about retrieving our admission tickets throughout the day since each of my family members wear his or her tickets right on their wrist! Walt Disney World Resort hotel Guests can make purchases during their vacation using their MagicBands, which are charged to their hotel room account. While malfunctions occasionally occur, you will find that counter service restaurants in the theme parks will all accept MagicBands as payment. Food carts in the theme parks do generally accept MagicBands as well. I have purchased popcorn, Mickey's Premium Ice Cream Bars, drinks and other treats in the theme parks using my MagicBand. However, I have found that the carts in the theme parks that sell light toys at night take only cash. Also, the shops at Disney Springs do not all take MagicBands. I always like to enjoy the parks with a credit card, identification and a small amount of cash so I am prepared for any situation.

    T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!

I can’t wait to help you plan your next adventure there, too! Learn More About Crystal
