I made a reservation for Rain Forest Cafe while we are in Animal Kingdom in June. When I booked it, the site stated some dining plans accepted. I see it isn't on the 2017 dining plan, should I cancel and find something else or is it truly included?

    Hi Roy,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thank you for bringing this question to us!

The Rainforest Cafe in Disney's Animal Kingdom Park is an experience. Our girls love the sounds of the forest that we hear in the restaurant. The thunder seems so real!

We used our Deluxe Dining Plan on our last visit. According to the Dining Plan Locations List and the restaurant's website, the Rainforest Cafe accepts the Disney Dining Plan and the Deluxe Plan. If you do not have either of those, you will need to switch your reservation. I find that the easiest way to check if a restaurant accepts the dining plan is to go to that restaurant's website, click on "Some Dining Plans Accepted" and then a pop-up menu will appear. Once that pop-up menu appears, you can see which dining plans are accepted.

I will add that the restaurant is at the entrance to the park. If you plan to dine in the middle of your day, just keep in mind that you will have to walk back to the front of the park to eat and then back to other areas to ride. I would also suggest that you consider eating there on your way into or out of the park.

Another option is Tusker House restaurant, a table-service restaurant that is further into the park and closer to some attractions. It also is one of the two restaurants that are currently part of the Rivers of Light Dining Package. You can use your dining plan to cover your meal for this experience.

I do hope you have a magical time Roy!
