We have made a last minute decision, well a month out, to go to WDW. And I can't get reservations anywhere. Are there any tips? My 6year old daughter really wants a princess character meal.

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Elinor. Thanks for stopping by with your question for us.

I see that you'll be arriving to Walt Disney World Resort on Wednesday before Thanksgiving. It's so wonderful to celebrate family and togetherness at Walt Disney World! That can also explain the difficulty in obtaining an advanced dining reservation online for your family.

I, too, made a very last minute decision to visit Walt Disney World Resort last year. My son's birthday is New Year's Eve and I knew it would be a crowded day at the parks. He really wanted to celebrate his birthday at a Character Dining. Two weeks before our arrival, I looked online and was unable to find anything. I decided to call Disney Dining to speak with a Disney Cast Member. We were flexible with the times, and she was able to secure a dining reservation for Chip 'n' Dale's Harvest Feast at the Garden Grill Restaurant in Epcot. My son thoroughly enjoyed this experience, and he LOVED the food. He still talks about the delicious meal we had, and he received a specially signed birthday card that is still proudly displayed in his bedroom.

Elinor, I highly recommend calling Disney Dining to speak with a Disney Cast Member. Guests often cancel or modify their reservations. You may have to call to check on a daily basis, but there's a good chance something may open up for your family.

I hope this information is helpful for you, Elinor. Please visit us on the Panel again if you have further questions.

    Have an enchanted day,
    Kiki

I am a wife and mother to 2 children, a 14 year old daughter and 9 year old son. I have always enjoyed going to Disneyland Resort as a child and now that I am a mother, I love watching my children experience Disneyland Resort through their eyes. It is a true delight seeing my daughter wear a ball gown walking side by side with Cinderella or my son jumping gleefully after he defeated Darth Maul in a light saber duel! Learn More About Kiki
