    Miranda Asked

I have made some of our Dining Reservations for our June 2012, 5 people. Some say that our party may be seated at more than one table, is that likely, do I need to change my reservation to assure we can all sit together.

    Hi there Miranda,

Thanks for the fantastic question!  I have been in your situation a few times, so I am more than happy to help!

I would keep that reservation. I commonly travel to Disney World in a party of 5 and have received that "Please note, your party may be seated at more than one table" message from time to time.  I think it is a standard message that certain dining locations send out to all parties with over 3 guests depending on the dynamic of available tables.

While I cannot guarantee your party will not be split up, I will tell you that out of the many times I have received this message at the time of booking, my party has NEVER been asked to separate.

I think the reservation system is triggered to send out that standard disclaimer if all of the larger tables within a certain time slot have been reserved.  But breathe easy in knowing that the Disney Cast Members will do everything possible to accommodate your party, so even though all of the 6-tops are reserved, they will likely pull together a 4-top and a 2-top for your group, or allow you to pull up a chair at a 4-top.

In closing, I think you'll be fine with the current reservation, and just be sure to mention your concern to the Cast Member when you check-in at the podium.  If you just aren't comfortable taking the chance, I would recommend trying a different time slot, earlier, or later, to see if you still receive the same disclosure.

Thanks for giving me this opportunity to spread pixie dust on your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation!  If us Moms can be of further assistance, please be sure to let us know!
