Beauty and the Beast at Magic Kingdom

I made breakfast reservations at BOG at 8:15 to get ahead of the crowd during the Christmas peak season. I just found out that on that day they are having EMH at 8:00 so my plan is shot. Should I just do rope drop and lunch at BOG instead?

Hi, Sophia! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for bringing your question to us. I am not sure if you are staying in one of the Walt Disney World Resort hotels and my advice to you is going to depend on if you are staying on property or not. Extra Magic Hours are a wonderful benefit afforded to those staying in a Resort hotel, allowing them early access to a select park one hour before regular opening or allowing them to remain in the select park for up to two hours after regular closure. My family is full of early risers, so we love to make use of the morning Extra Magic Hours.

If you are eligible to attend Extra Magic Hours, then I would advise you to use that time to experience Magic Kingdom Park attractions with much lower waits. You could explore the diamond mine of Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, soar above Adventureland on The Magic Carpets of Aladdin, and chase all the grim grinning ghosts of Haunted Mansion all before the later scheduled lunch. If you, however, are staying off-property and are not eligible to attend Extra Magic Hours, then I would advise you to keep the breakfast Advance Dining Reservation. That way, you could enter the park slightly before your meal and then be ready to hop on your first attraction as the park opens for all Guests.

Sophia, I do want to encourage you to make FastPass+ selections for your favorite attractions, shows, and character experiences. The magic can be endless when combining Extra Magic Hours, FastPass+ selections, and a great Advance Dining Reservation! Please stop by and visit us if you have any other questions or would like more tips for your upcoming vacation.
