Hi Lynette, I enjoyed your blog! As a young child, (one of ten), we would travel out west when my father was stationed in San Diego in the Naval Reserves. We are now taking our son for the 1st time. How do I purchase Fast Pass tickets before we arrive?

    Hi there Dan,

It’s so fun to hEAR from Guests again, thank you! I hope you are having a wonderful week.

Being a Military wife, I understand the sacrifices that Military Members and their families go through - thank you to your family for their service. I’m thrilled to infinity & beyond that you are about to embark on your own magical memories at The Happiest Place on Earth with your son. First visits are the best! Be sure to stop by Guest Services and get a free "First Visit" button for your son to wear during your trip; Cast Members that see the button in the parks will be sure to send warm wishes throughout the day. If we get a celebratory button from a Cast Member, we often place the button on our stroller canopy.

I’m so glad you asked about Disney FASTPASS Service at the Disneyland Resort because it differs from Walt Disney World. Unlike Walt Disney World, you cannot “reserve” FASTPASS tickets at the Disneyland Resort ahead of time. But Hakuna Matata, using your theme park ticket, you can visit Disney FASTPASS Service kiosks to obtain a FASTPASS ticket once inside a park. (Attractions participating in Disney’s FASTPASS Service tend to be the more popular attractions.) You will insert your theme park ticket into the kiosk and receive a FASTPASS. The FASTPASS will have a Return Time printed on it so you can come back later and avoid the long line at that attraction. Just remember to return within the time window printed on your FASTPASS and then enter through the FASTPASS entrance and not the Standby entrance.

I hope this helps and that you have a pixie-dusted visit. If you have any more questions, please visit me here and let me know how I can help you plan your magical vacation.

    Wishing you magic!
