Hi all! Lv this panel. May sound silly, but what are the best shoes to wear? I would imagine tennis shoes, but I wonder about water rides and soppy shoes. I guess there aren't many water rides. Any suggestions. Pack flipflops just in case? Thx a bunch.

This is one of those "it depends" situations. It depends on what your feet are most comfortable with, and also on your tastes.

Having said that, there are a few more popular options that come to mind:
    1) Crocs (or similar) have many many fans at WDW. This is the only thing my kids wear at the parks, and they never complain about their feet.  My wife also often goes with Crocs.
    2) Sturdy sandals. I mostly use Teva sandals, and find them very comfortable day after day.
    3) Well worn-in tennis shoes. I also always bring a pair of these but have used them less and less lately as I now prefer the Teva sandals.

I think your concern about soppy/soggy/yucky wet shoes is valid, but mostly only applies to Kali River Rapids in the Animal Kingdom.  It is almost impossible to keep your feet dry on that attraction. However, most other attractions wouldn't likely get your feet very wet.

If you are going to the waterparks, you definitely want to bring some sandals, flip-flops, or water shoes, since the ground can get very hot to walk on with bare feet.

Overall, keep in mind that it is not unusual to walk more than 5 miles a day at WDW, so you want to make sure to test your shoes in advance, and be sure they are well worn in before you arrive.

    Hope that helps.
