We have lunch at Sanaa Friday at 11:45am and our 1st Fast pass is 12:45-1:45 at Navi River. We plan to the take the bus to the park after lunch. Do you think we’ll have enough time?

    Hi Marilyn!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. You have picked a fantastic place for lunch! There are very few restaurants that can boast of serving delicious cuisine right next to roaming African wildlife! Over 200 birds and hoofed animals call Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge home, and the view of the savanna from the restaurant is priceless. We just had lunch there yesterday with our family visiting from Scotland, and the meals and atmosphere are perfect every time!

To be perfectly honest, you are cutting it very close to your meal and your first FastPass+. The restaurant is at the Resort, which is a five-minute car ride or approximately 15-20 minute bus ride (even though the Park is right next door, you have to consider the bus schedule and transit time). Your meal will take at least an hour, and once you arrive at the Park, you will need to go through Security, scan your MagicBands, and then have a seven-minute walk (according to the handy walking directions on the My Disney Experience app!) to Na'vi River Journey. So overall, you need to give yourself approximately an hour from the end of your meal to your FastPass+ time.

If you can, I would move your lunch to 11:00 am. That way you can savor your fantastic meal and get to Na'vi River Journey without rushing! Both experiences are incredible, and I don’t want you stressed for time. One last thing before I go - I highly recommend the Indian-Style Bread Service. The naan is mouthwateringly delicious, and the accompanying sauces are full of flavor and so much fun to sample!

Marilyn, if you have any other questions, please don’t hesitate to come back. Have a wonderful visit.
