We're so lucky to be staying at staying at AKL in Aug and have the Disney dining plan. We'd love to hear any recommendations for vegetarian family dining (our daughter is 8) at any of the resort hotels or parks. Many thanks!

    Hi Elizabeth!

You've made a great choice in regards to dining! Walt Disney World is THE easiest place for me to eat as a vegetarian! Every restaurant I've dined at at Walt Disney World has offered a vegetarian option. Even if I don't see anything that looks yummy on the menu, I am sure to ask my waiter/waitress. I've even found that restaurants where I've worried about my dining options at have been wonderful! I hope you find the same thing!

Animal Kingdom Lodge is home to Boma: Flavors of Africa, a great buffet which many guests rate as the #1 vegetarian dining spot in all of the resorts and parks. You'll have the opportunity to try a variety of foods - some adventurous and some more tame. Just be sure to ask your server what options will suit your vegetarian diet.

Today's Disney Parks Blog also featured some great vegetarian meal options. Check out the post here. The Lighthouse Sandwich at Columbia Harbour House is one of my favorites!

Every park also features a fresh fruit stand if you're craving a snack that's refreshing and good for you too!

I hope this help! And remember, at any table service restaurant, all you need to do is ask what options are available to you as a vegetarian. Enjoy!
