We love to try new foods at WDW,especially EPCOT, but will be traveling with a really picky 13 yr. old - too old for kids menu. Do TS restraunts have ala carte or some other option for a picky teenager? What do you suggest?

    Hi Cindi,

Congratulations on your upcoming trip!  Epcot is, indeed, a fantastic venue for exploring new cuisines.  I think you will find that the table service restaurants at Walt Disney World are very accommodating.  You should have no problem ordering items prepared a bit differently than they are presented on the menu.  I have had luck asking for items to be served without sauces, with substitute sauces, grilled instead of fried, different side dishes, etc.  In my experience, as long as an item exists in the kitchen, the chef is happy to prepare it in a way that suites a guest.  I have also dined with guests who had older kids, who successfully asked for larger portions of options available on a children's menu.  When you are seated, simply explain your teenager's preferences, and your server will gladly work with you to come up with a choice that makes everyone happy!

    Have a magical trip!
