I love taking pictures! While at Disney World, what pictures are priceless that I need to make sure to capture ---- besides the obvious character pictures?

I'm a scrapbooker, so I too love coming home from Disney World with great photos.  In my opinion, some of the best shots I've taken there are the unexpected ones, especially character photos.  By all means, capture Mickey posing with your child.  To personalize the shot, maybe try to get your child's tiny hand in Mickey's oversized glove.  Or see if you can get a shot of Peter Pan's shadow.  Additionally, position yourself behind your subject for an interesting perspective.  A shot of the back of your child as he/she walks towards the castle is priceless.  Details are important too: a photo of the lipstick marks Sleeping Beauty leaves behind on your son's cheek, for example, is as great a photo as the kiss itself.

Food shots can be fun too.  I have some great before and after's of my daughter eating her first Mickey bar.  Signage photos are great.  Take pictures of the signs to some of the restaurants you dine in, and park entrance signs.  Those can really help bring a memory to life.

You'll want to capture the major park icons, of course (Tree of Life, Sorcerer hat, etc.)  Some of the rides make great photo opportunities too, especially Expedition Everest, Dumbo, and the carousel.

Buy a mylar Mickey balloon and take a picture of your child's reflection as he/she smiles into it.  One of my all-time favorites is of my exhausted daughter napping in her stroller, a stuffed Mickey doll dangling from underneath her arm.  I also have a picture taken from behind as my children were lined up against that nautical-looking rope, staring across the water at the Beach Club.  Priceless!

Not to worry; there are a trillion and one photo opportunities at every turn.  The trick is shooting the ones that really bring your magical memories to life long after you're trip has ended.  Have fun and happy shooting!
