Love your suggestion to fly in the night before cruise and stay in the Airport Hyatt. If we do that and take Disney ground transportation to the cruise terminal, how do we handle luggage? Just bring it with us from the hotel to the ground transport desk?

    Ahoy Victoria!
I'm glad you found that tip helpful! My family loves traveling the day before we sail so the day of our cruise departure is a bit more relaxed.  You have two options for your luggage the next morning.  First, you can have it picked up from your hotel room and have it directly delivered to your stateroom.  If you choose to do this, just let the Hyatt know you are a Disney Cruise Line Guest upon check- in, and they will inform you of a pick-up time for the following morning.  The next time you will see your luggage will be outside your stateroom door later that afternoon so be sure to keep any medications, important papers and passports with you.  We like to swim after boarding so we also include our swimsuits and sunscreen in our carry-on as well.
Your second option is to bring your luggage back over to the airport to Disney's Magical Express on Level One, Side B.  The castmembers will assist you with your bags and once you hand them over, you won't see them again until the afternoon.
Your bags will be tagged with labels that list your name, ship name, sail date and stateroom number so rest assured they will arrive safely with either option. These tags are sent a few weeks before your cruise vacation via the U.S. mail.
Thanks so much for writing back for more information, Victoria!  Please keep me posted as you think of other questions!
    Have a magical day!
