Love this site! I'm planning a trip on May ('09) for myself, my mom, and my two daughters (2 1/2, 4 1/2) during trip. I'd love to have a theme park view and be on the monorail system. Which do you like better, the Polynesian or the Contemporary hotel?

I absolutely like the Polynesian better!

I think for your girls only trip that the relaxing, tropical atmosphere would be most inviting. The Contemporary is more “business-like”.

At the Polynesian, you can have a view of Cinderella’s Castle. The girls will love the zero entry depth pool where they can splash and wade easily. The sandy beaches are nice for relaxing in a hammock or watching the Wishes fireworks.

You’ll have dining options at the hotel including the fun breakfast with Lilo and Stitch. Just one monorail stop away is the 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian for dining with Cinderella in the evening or Mary Poppins in the morning.

The Captain Cook’s Snack Company has a small “food court” type menu.

The monorail access to the Magic Kingdom is ideal. Our family loves the Polynesian resort. You’ll be welcomed with a lei at Check-In. At night, the resort comes alive with the lighting of the torches. The shops, restaurants, arcade and Neverland kids club are all convenient.

    Aloha!
