I LOVE the panel, thanks for all your ideas. I was wondering if kids can use arm floaties at the water parks/ resort pools? Also, can I be in the water, waiting at the bottom of the slide for my kids coming down behind me? Thanks,

The water parks and slides are probably my kids' overall favorite thing about our WDW vacations.

Your kids can wear floaties at the pools in both the resort and water park pools. There are also life vests available at both types of pools which might be more comfortable for your child (and give you more peace of mind). Use of the life vests is free. You will need to leave a deposit when you pick one up, but it is returned to you when you return the vest.

The answer to, "Can I wait at the bottom of the slide?" depends a bit on where you are. At the resorts, this usually works fine. The lifeguard will ask you to step out of the area directly beneath the slide, but you will be able to stand close enough that you will be able to intercept your child within a few seconds. At least until the kids got used to the big slides, you may want to have one adult in your party slide first, then the kids, followed by another adult in your party. We developed this system because we once had a child "chicken out" on a slide at the last minute. My husband had gone down the slide at was waiting for her, and she was at the top of the slide, alone, crying, and totally unsure what to do. Eventually the lifeguard at the top had someone find us, but this was obviously not one of our finest parenting moments. (Now they're older and ride the slides by themselves with no problem. Whew!)

At the little kid slides at the water parks, you can run alongside your kids when the are sliding. At the larger slides at the water parks, you can go down the slide first, followed by the kids. But the lifeguards are probably going to make you fully clear the area at the bottom. Your child will be able to see you, but you most likely won't be able to "catch" him.

I'm sure you have great fun in the water on your vacation!
