Love this panel! Thank U! The waterslides at the Deluxe hotels are very appealing to my children (6 & 4) - are the slides appropriate for children 6 & under? Is there a resort with "the best" pool?

Several of the deluxe resorts have wonderful pools, but the one that is universally acknowledged to be the best is the Stormalong Bay pool which is shared by the Yacht & Beach Club resorts. This one, three acre big, pool has several connected zones that are all connected.

At one end, there is a shallow area that has a real sand-covered bottom and a large sand dune. This is perfect for preschooler wading and for building spectacular sand castles -- and no waves to knock the castles down. Other areas include a "lazy river" like you might encounter at a water park, whirlpool zone, and general swimming areas. Stormalong Bay also has two water slides. There is a small slide that is great for the younger set. And then there's a giant slide with lots of twists and turns.

Younger children are welcome on the big slide. Kids are not allowed to go down the slide on an adult's lap, but if they can go down on their own, then they will be allowed to. My girls did use this slide starting when they were about age four. Our strategy was to have one parent go to the top of the slide with the kids and the other parent wait near the bottom of the slide to be the "catcher." You can't actually catch the kids at the bottom because the lifeguard makes you stand to one side a bit. But you can be a few steps away. This always worked for us.

We've stayed at the Beach Club many times, and that pool is one of our big deciding factors that this is my family's resort of choice.
