LOVE the panel! I am taking my DH on his first Disney trip in January(no kids). We are traveling on a budget. Any ideas for something special we can do for his first trip?

January is an excellent time of year to visit in order to enjoy low crowds. Weather can be unpredictable but the walk-on attractions makes up for not knowing whether to pack shorts or jeans!

Note that in January one of the water parks will be closed for refurbishment. You'll also find a popular attraction(s)  closed for renovation. It's usually just one or two headliners.

    On a budget ideas:
Get your husband a first WDW trip button at City Hall in the Magic Kingdom.
Slow down and show him the amenities on WDW property such as watching fireworks from the Polynesian beach, strolling around the Boardwalk, watching the Electrical Water Pageant from the Grand Floridian boat dock and so on.
    Wear Mickey Ears.
Eat a Mickey Ears ice cream bar.
    Share a DoleWhip.
    Point out some Hidden Mickeys.
    Collect character pictures and/or autographs.
    Trade pins.
Take the monorail around to all of the Magic Kingdom resorts.
Sail across the Seven Seas Lagoon on a boat from the Magic Kingdom to one of the nearby hotels.
Have him wear a first visit T-shirt or hat and have characters sign it.
Share a late night soak in the resort's hot tub or go for a late night swim.
