Love the panel! We are looking into annual/seasonal passes. It seems like the seasonal passes are "blacked out" during the most crowded times of the year. Is it worth getting the annual pass if the parks will be crowded during these times anyway?

    Hi, Amber!

Great question, and I can answer as someone who mulls that debate over every year. I always, ALWAYS say, "It's so hot in the summertime! I'll never go in the summer!" ... and guess where I was multiple times over the summer? ;)

That aside, I've found the tipping point of my decision to be the parking. If you are goingto rent a car every time you come down and not rely exclusively on Disney transportation, you'll pay $14.00 (currently) to park your vehicle at a Park lot. Annual Passes include parking, so that's one less expense you have to consider. When you have visited a Park a dozen or so times, the parking fees cancel out the difference in cost between the Annual and the Seasonal.

Now a caveat: it is my understanding that Seasonal Passes are only available for Florida residents. On Disney's ticketing page, for example, there is no option for a Seasonal Pass; I have to go to the Tickets and Passes for Florida Residents page to find the option to buy the Seasonal.

If you are not a Florida resident, the decision might have been made for you! Regardless, I do find that the Annual Pass provides a level of flexibility for those spontaneous trips that the Seasonal simply does not offer.

Drop me a note through www.DisneyWorldMoms.com and let me know what you decide!

    See you later, celebrator!
