    Kashuna from TX Asked

Hi Moms, I LOVE THIS PANEL! My husband and I are taking our son to MK for his 2nd bday July 13-19, We were wordering about the weather temps and if its really busy around that time of year? Also, which of the two water parks are more for toddlers?

Hi Kashuna! What an exciting and memorable second birthday trip for your son! He is a lucky little boy!

Summer is a hot time in Florida but that does mean lots of fun at a water park! My choice from taking my toddler grandchildren would be the Blizzard Beach park at Disney. Tikes Peak is an area dedicated just to the little ones and the height requirements here are gauged if you are too TALL!  The Cross Country Creek is another fun thing for you to do as it is a lazy river type ride that circles the entire park giving you great views of the thrills and spills you can look forward to in future years. They will provide inner tubes with bottoms for the younger guests if you don't want to just hold him in your own arms.

The temperatures at this time of year will range from 73-92 degrees. July is generally considered the hottest month and be aware of the humidity in Florida. Make sure you always have water to hydrate during your park days.  Also quite common are the afternoon showers or thunderstorms.  Bring raincoats or better yet buy the inexpensive ponchos at almost any store in any park and resort.  They come in the small sizes as well and if you have worn them out by the end of your trip you can toss them in the trash.

Summer months are always on the crowded side so be sure and have your advanced dining reservations and study park maps so you understand the lay-out which will help once you arrive.  Use Fast Passes when possible and don't forget the Rider Swap program for rides that your son is too small to experience but mom and dad would love to! Enjoy your planning and let us know if we can help you further!
