I love this panel, it has answered so much! I am planning a First Visit for my 3 and 5 year old daughters in early October 2014. I am still confused about FastPass. Is this something that is extra or part of admission? Could you simplify this for me?

    Hey Amy!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Mom Panel! You must be so excited for your first trip to Walt Disney World. I know I am excited for you!

Fastpasses, which are included in your park admission, are a great way to save time when touring the parks, especially with your little one. They are like a reservation you make to ride a specific attraction. This means you can spend more time touring the parks and less time standing in line. Your FastPass will include a return time which is typically a one hour window of time to return to that ride. You will then be placed in a much shorter line for FastPass guests only.

There are a couple of ways to make FastPass selections:
    • If you are staying on property at a Walt Disney World resort and have tickets linked to your My Disney Experience account you can begin reserving your FastPasses 60 days in advance.
    • If you are not staying on Walt Disney World property yet you have tickets which you have linked to your My Disney Experience account, you can begin making your FastPass selections 30 days in advance.
    • If you are purchasing your tickets after you arrive or will not be able to link them to your My Disney Experience account, there are FastPass kiosks located all around the parks where you will be able to make your selections.

I hope this answers your questions. If you have any others please come back and see me.

Wishing you a magical vacation and a pixie-dusted day!
