Hi Moms, love you guys! can anyone tell me more about the Mobile Room Ready Notification Service. Can you request this before arriving at the resort maybe through the online check-in service? Thank you

Hi Joanie!  I have to be honest, I never heard of this service until I read your question.  I did some research and I'm already totally in love with this new feature!

Up until recently, when a guest checked into their resort and their room wasn't ready you were given a card with a special number to call and see if your room was ready.  Although that feature is still an available option, it seems Disney has taken this to a whole new level!

Guests can now opt to receive a text message or an automated voice message routed to their cell phone as soon as their room is ready.  How cool is that?  Seriously!  No more calling the phone number to get a room status.  You can just go off, have fun and let technology let you know when your room is ready.

When checking into your resort - whether you use online check-in or now, I believe the decision to use this feature comes into play when you find out your room is not ready.  If you've used online check-in, chances are you've already recorded your cell phone information.  Otherwise, you can give your cell phone number to the cast member at check-in.

Note: standard text message rates do apply.
