hello just love all your good advice, when making reservations for our free dining in September I was told that it would take 2 credits to eat at The Brown Derby and 1 credit at Coral Reef. I am confused as Coral reef has 3$ and the Brown Derby has 2$

I don't know where you're seeing the $$ and $$$ ratings. If you go to the website allearsnet.com and search for an article called "Menus from Around the World" you'll be taken to pages that give you menus for most of the WDW restaurants. I just did a little calculation and found that the average entree price at the Coral Reef is $23.62 and the average entree price at the Brown Derby is $25.75 (prices are subject to change). That's not much of a difference, but obviously Disney thought it was enough to kick the Brown Derby into the signature dining category. These are both very nice restaurants. I happen to prefer the food at the Brown Derby quite a bit, but the "wow" factor of the aquarium at the Coral Reef is impressive.
