    Danelle Asked

I LOVE Disney. We go every year. This year our trip is in June. My 40th is in Nov. we have never been during holidays. I feel so silly just going for a holiday weekend. Do you think that is too much?? Also is it weird to go without my kids???

Well, Danelle, you have come to the right place to ask about traveling to Disney more than once in a year, as I am sure most of us moms and dads here do just that! So, in our opinion, NO, I think that would be a fantastic way to celebrate such a momentous milestone.

November also has so much to offer. Not only is it the beginning of the holiday season with the amazing decorations going up and the festivities beginning to happen, if you go before November 11, 2013, you can also enjoy Epcot's International Food and Wine Festival. Don't forget about Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, as well. Dates have not yet been announced for this event, but it typically begins within the first couple of weeks in November.

A weekend getaway is a great way to go for a brief dusting of pixie-dust while enjoying some amazing events. Since you will have been in June with your kids (I'm assuming), it will be the perfect opportunity to enjoy some of the wonderful things at Walt Disney World that are perfect for those traveling without kids. A celebratory dinner at Victoria & Albert's definitely comes to mind as a way to cap off a memorable birthday weekend.

Happy Early Birthday from all of us at the Moms Panel and let me know if you need any other recommendations if you decide to celebrate in the parks!
