Hi I would love to book a reservation to an Asian themed restaurant but my kids only eat the traditional chicken and french fries..I was wondering if you can tell me if they have them on the menu. Thanks so much!!

    Hi Carla,

This is a dilemma many of us parents face. We would like to have an interesting and non-traditional meal, but our kids are more picky with their palates. Here are my suggestions.

Yak & Yeti at Disney's Animal Kingdom is a table service restaurant that does have chicken tenders on the menu. It is served with either carrot sticks, applesauce or white or brown rice. Many locations can substitute french fries if they have them on hand, but you would have to ask and it cannot be guaranteed that they would have them.

Over at Epcot, Tokyo Dining does have Tempura Chicken on the kids menu. The tempura batter may not be something that your kids are used to but it is a version of a fried chicken tenders, so it might be a close substitute. Again, this dish isn't served with french fries, and whether or not this location has fries on hand is something you would have to ask the server.

The great thing about dining at Walt Disney World is that the chefs try their best to satisfy all their guests' requests if they are able. While this can't always be guaranteed, it never hurts to ask the server about options that might not be listed.

    Have a wonderful time.
