Hi from Louisiana. We will be heading to Disney March 23-26 and we would like to see Fantasmic and the new Star Wars Galatic Spectacular on our first night there. What are the times of both of these and can we do both with Fantasmic dining plan?

    Hi Kimberly!

I know you must be super excited that your trip is right around the corner! It won't be long until you're wrapped up in the magic of a Walt Disney World Resort vacation.

On March 23rd, the first night of your vacation, Fantasmic! has an 8:30pm showtime, followed by the Star Wars Galactic Spectacular fireworks show at 9pm.

A Fantasmic! Dining Package will provide you with a delicious meal and VIP reserved seating for the show. Guests begin lining up to see Fantasmic! an hour or more before showtime. With your reserved seating pass, you won't have to arrive until 20-30 minutes before it begins, which means more park time for you! Specific seats aren't assigned - guests choose seats within the reserved section on a first-come, first-served basis.

With the 8:30 showing of Fantasmic! having a duration of 30 minutes and the Star Wars fireworks beginning at 9pm, it's difficult to see both, but it's doable! First, you'll need to make an early exit from the Hollywood Hills Amphitheater. (The end of the show is super cute, so try and stay as long as you can!) With your VIP ticket, you'll have entered at the gates next to Beauty and the Beast - Live on Stage, and entered the amphitheater in the upper left section. To view the fireworks, you'll want to exit at the far upper right. That path will take you to the front of the park at the Crossroads of the World gift shop.

You'll be able to view the fireworks from any spot on Hollywood Boulevard. My advice would be to try and make it at least halfway down Hollywood Boulevard if possible. No worries if the crowd is too thick -  you'll still be able to enjoy them, even from the very front of the park. The only part of the show that may be difficult to see are the projections on the Chinese Theatre (The Great Movie Ride).

I hope this is helpful, and you're able to catch both amazing shows! - Diane W.
