Hi Lori, myself & mum are very excited as we got places for mickey's holiday 5k, as we are already visiting from the UK we don't need to book a travel package, however we do need transport how do we book this, thanks from across the water

    Hi Amy!

Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

I'm so excited for you and your mother!  I think you are going to love Mickey's Holiday 5K.  The course is fabulously fun and it always gets me ready for the holidays.

If you are staying in one of the Walt Disney World Resorts, no worries!  They have Magical Express bus transportation to and from Orlando International Airport to your resort.  Also, runDisney will have complimentary buses running to and from each resort to all race weekend events.  These buses are for runners and spectators.

If you are not staying on Walt Disney World property, then you can take a taxi for race morning events. Most hotels allow you to arrange a cab from the front desk.  You will want to check the Official Event Guide (which will be posted a couple of weeks before the event and available as a booklet at the expo) for road closures, but the morning of the 5K generally doesn't have many detours for your driver to worry about.

Transportation to and from the airport is easy to arrange by visiting the Orlando International Airport website and clicking on the Parking and Transportation tab.

I hope this helps!  Please let me know if you have any other questions as your race approaches.
