We are looking to visit Walt Disney World the week of February 23, 2013 with our daughter who is special-needs. Can you tell me if this is a good time to avoid large crowd and what the weather usually is like? Also has anyone had experience with the guest

I love visiting Walt Disney World in February. The crowds are lighter, the flowers and trees are all so beautiful and the parks have that fresh new year look to them. It really is a lovely time to visit the Happiest Place on Earth. As for the weather, the average high temperatures in February only reach the low to mid 70's with the average lows dropping into the low 50's. There is always the chance of a shower during this time also. I would suggest bringing that extra parka just in case it gets a bit chilly. In order to make sure all your family has a terrific time you may want to look into a Guest Assistance Card for your daughter. This may permit her and up to 5 guests the option of being able to skip traditional lines and have additional seating areas that are less crowded, or alternate ride queues as possibilities to make this vacation a breeze. To obtain the GAC simply head over to Guest Services when you arrive. While a physicians note is not always necessary, it will aid the cast member is making sure that the guest gets the correct assistance to ensure smiles and magical memories for all of you. Have a magical vacation!
