Hi! I am looking at traveling solo in September to WDW. Are there any sit down restaurants that shouldn't be missed? And won't feel awkward by myself? Thank you!!

    Hi Courtney,

Traveling solo at the Walt Disney World can be a lot of fun! I have done it a few times and I love that I can just do what I want without waiting on anyone else.

One of my favorite things to do when traveling solo is to eat at all of the countries in World Showcase. I love having dessert in France, caramel popcorn in Germany, school bread in Norway and cheese platter in Italy. It really is heavenly to dine this way.

As for restaurants not to miss, it really is personal preference on what you are looking for to dine. For fancy, Yachtsman Steakhouse, California Grill, Citricos or Victoria & Albert's all come to mine. Some have Chef's tables which you sit in the kitchen while the chef prepares your meal. This is on my bucket list.

For fun and a good time, Whispering Canyon Cafe, La Hacienda de San Angel, Teppan Edo, The Wave, Wolfgang Puck Grand Cafe or Be Our Guest are good options as well.

The one thing I love about Disney is that everyone one is feels welcome to dine at their restaurants. We have taken our daughters to the California Grill since they were under five. They learned to use multiple utensils as well as having to be dressed for dinner. No one thought anything of us having them in this restaurant.

    Have a magical day!
