A Ride in the Teacups

Hi! Looking for tips/tricks to maximize time in Disneyland/California Adventure without being overly exhausted with 3 children ages 8, 7, and 2 and while 6 1/2 months pregnant. I've been many times in the past but never pregnant or with all 3 kids.

Hiya, Kylie, and congrats on your soon-to-be Mouseketeer! As a mom of three under the age of 8, I would be happy to share some of my favorite tips and tricks for taking on the Disneyland Resort. One of my biggest pieces of advice to pregnant moms is to take lots of breaks, and to stay hydrated. You can ask for a complimentary cup of ice water from any quick-service location throughout the day. Some of my favorite spots for resting are The Tropical Hideaway, Animation Academy, Disneyland Railroad, Disneyland Monorail, and Jungle Cruise. My family's favorite parades and shows are Disney Junior Dance Party!, Mickey’s Soundsational Parade, Mickey and the Magical Map, and Storytelling at Royal Theatre.

Next, you’re going to want to get acquainted with the Baby Care Centers, located inside both parks. They’re great spots to feed, change, or simply take a break. They even offer tiny toilets for potty-training! You can purchase diapers, wipes, sunscreen, and other baby necessities there, too.

I also recommend downloading the Disneyland app, which can be used to check wait times, find favorite Characters, and order food and drinks ahead of time. Mobile ordering is a game changer for busy families, especially those with toddlers. I’d also suggest adding Disney MaxPass to your tickets, which allows you to make digital FASTPASS selections from the convenience of your phone, once inside the parks.

Have a magical time at the Happiest Place on Earth!

Meet the Panelist: Kristin, California

Hello from sunny California! I currently live less than an hour from the Disneyland Resort, and have been an Annual Passholder for about 20 years! As a mom of three kids under the age of 7, I consider myself an expert at navigating the Disneyland Resort with little ones. My family of five can’t get enough of the magic and happiness we encounter every time we step foot on Main Street, U.S.A. I look forward to sprinkling pixie dust on your next visit to “The Happiest Place on Earth!”
