We are looking at taking my son back to Disney World for his 18th birthday. How would reservations and ticketing work if he is 17 when we check in?

    Hiya Ron!

Thank you so much for stopping by!  Celebrating a birthday at Walt Disney World is my favorite!  I'd love to wish your son an early HAPPY BIRTHDAY from all of us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

For all reservations and ticketing purposes, your son will be considered 17 years old for the duration of your vacation, as that will be his age upon check-in.

Make sure to pick up a birthday button for the birthday boy upon check-in, and have him wear it for the remainder of your vacation! You should also look into ordering him one of the new Mickey Mouse Celebration Cakes to celebrate his milestone birthday (they look SO YUMMY!), or reach out to Disney Floral and Gifts to surprise him with something he'll never forget!

Have a magical vacation and thank you again for stopping by!
