Hi! Looking at Swan or Dolphin? Which has nicer rooms? Is one more convenient? any pros/cons? Thanks so much!!

    Hi Elizabeth!

Right now, I am staring out at the beautiful roof lines of Paris and the bustling Boardwalk - guess where I am???  That's right, I'm enjoying the view from my room at the Dolphin!  I just got back from strolling through Epcot's International Food and Wine Festival and decided to pop back into my room for a little break from the heat.  You simply cannot beat the location of either of these hotels - they are literally right in the middle of everything!

Both hotels feature the resort's signature Heavenly Beds, which use pillowtop mattresses, fabulous down comforters and cozy pillows to lull you to sleep after a long day in the parks. Both hotels also allow you to experience all of the Disney Resort benefits, excluding Magical Express and the ability to charge purchases back to your room.  As they are not Disney owned properties, some of the Disney magic is definitely missing - at least to me.  If this is your first trip to Disney World, I would suggest staying at one of the Disney owned resorts to experience that fabulous Disney Magic!

As much as I am enjoying my stay at the Dolphin, I feel like I just walked a marathon to get back to my room.  The Dolphin is HUGE and the layout is slightly confusing - plan on adding five minutes to your travel time just too get out of this resort!!!!  I think that I would prefer the more intimate feeling of the Swan.  Also, the Swan offers a Disney Character breakfast, while the Dolphin does not.  These sister resorts are within a stone's throw of each other, so neither one is more convenient than the other.  All things considered, I would recommend trying to get a room at the Swan, primarily for its smaller size.  Have a fabulous time!
