Looking to stay at Port Orleans. Do you prefer FQ or Riverside? Have some of the rooms been updated with Princess of the Frog theme? Any specific rooms to request? Which one has a better pool? Kids are age 5, 6 and 8. Thank you,

    Hi Kelly!

My favorite moderate resort is Port Orleans French Quarter and one of the main reasons is due to its size.

French Quarter is the smallest of the moderates, which means that everything is within a quick walk (a huge perk at the end of a long park day!!). Another asset of this resort is its incredible New Orleans theme that just envelopes you in the feel of the "old South".

Perks of this resort (besides being beautiful) include boat transportation to Downtown Disney, use of the pool and amenities at Riverside (included since French Quarter and Riverside are sister resorts), and a great quick service restaurant featuring Beignets for breakfast! YUM!!

You and your family will have a ton of fun exploring the grounds of both French Quarter and Riverside and checking out the pools and slides at both resorts. Since these are sister resorts, you don't have to choose just one! Feel free to explore them both!

Don't forget to hop a boat to Downtown Disney for a nice way to send a few quiet moments traveling down the lazy river!

The rooms at Port Orleans French Quarter have been recently renovated to include queen beds. The Princess and the Frog rooms will be coming to Port Orleans Riverside in the future, but are not available yet.

    Hope this helps!
