Looking for a resort on Disney property that is a little more quiet/secluded. We have an autistic adult daughter, and we need a resort/hotel that is a little more low key noise wise-Is that possible on the property?

    Hi Edward,

Thanks for visiting the Moms Panel with your question. I will do my best to help you find a resort that will make you and your daughter comfortable on your Walt Disney World vacation.

Because you are looking for quiet and less hustle and bustle, I would recommend the Port Orleans French Quarter resort. It is one of the smallest on Disney property and the one I always suggest recommend for adults who want a resort with a more intimate feel. I would request a room in Building 1, which is farthest from the pool and playground, but still an easy walk to the food court and bus station.

Port Orleans French Quarter is a moderate resort.

Other options you might consider are the Wilderness Lodge and Animal Kingdom Lodge. They are much bigger, but are set away from the theme parks and feel more secluded. Both are beautiful and in the deluxe category. You will have more people around and more activity in the common areas here, but you can request rooms that are away from hubbub and feel quite private.

In your situation, I would probably avoid the value hotels, just because I think they tend to be noisier.

I hope that's useful. Please check back with us if you have more questions. Wishing you a wonderful vacation with your family. Enjoy!
