Looking for recommendations on where to stay ! My husband and I and our 2.5 year old

Hello, Melissa! Thank you for stopping by the Moms Panel with your great question about choosing the right Disney Resort hotel for your family of three.

When I visit Walt Disney World with my family, I like to spend some time thinking about what we need to have in place for our vacation to be as smooth as possible, and then weigh that against what we want to experience. You could also check to see which Disney Resort hotel is closest to the Disney Parks that you plan to frequent, and choose from there.

When my daughter was three, we stayed at Disney's Contemporary Resort, which proved to be an excellent choice for us. You really cannot beat the convenience of being only a monorail ride or short walk away from Magic Kingdom Park, especially if your child is potty-training or you have to navigate a stroller and large diaper bag through the parks all day. It also offers a nice sprayground for young children and convenient access to some really wonderful dining options, like Chef Mickey's and The Wave... of American Flavors.

If you would prefer to choose a Disney Resort hotel with bolder theming for your young child's amusement, you might be interested in staying at Disney's Art of Animation Resort. This hotel offers rooms that are themed like favorite Disney*Pixar movies, and even offers the largest resort pool in all of Walt Disney World! It's not as convenient to get to in the middle of the day like Disney's Contemporary Resort, but it's really a matter of personal preference and what works best for your family.

I've always had a wonderful experience at the Disney Resort hotels, so I'm sure that you will have an amazing time with your family at whichever one that you choose. Happy planning, Melissa!
