Hi Tami,
I'm super excited to hear that you're planning your very first visit to "The Most Magical Place on Earth" and I can't WAIT for you to experience the magic and fun of a Walt Disney World Resort vacation. You're going to make memories that you'll cherish for years to come, and your family is going to have a BLAST!
While you'll find multiple crowd calendars online that try to estimate the crowd levels day-to-day, I really believe that either the last week of February or the first week of March would be great times to visit! While crowds will pick up for the
Disney Princess Half Marathon on February 20 - 23, and spring break vacations will likely start around the first full weekend in March, those couple of weeks in between should be quite a sweet spot with fairly moderate crowd levels. With that said, I also believe that it's more important to go with a good plan in place than it is to pick the least crowded time of the year. For example, if you can be at the theme park 30 - 45 minutes before it opens, you'll have plenty of time to make it through security and ticketing and be among the first Guests into the park for the day. My family has always found that we can enjoy several attractions first thing in the morning with very short waits, then we begin using our pre-planned
FastPass+ selections mid-morning. Don't forget that once you've enjoyed those three pre-planned selections, you'll be able to use the
My Disney Experience mobile app or an
in-park kiosk to make additional FastPass+ selections, one at a time, throughout the rest of the day. When the crowds pick up late-morning and early-afternoon, that's a great time to enjoy some shows, use your FastPass+ selections, or even
head back to your Disney Resort hotel for a rest or swim. Of course, when your tumbly gets a little rumbly like Winnie the Pooh's, another great way to avoid any crowds is to use the convenient
mobile ordering feature. At select Quick-service restaurants, you may simply place your order and pay through the app, click a button when you arrive at the restaurant, then receive a notification when your order is ready for you to pick it up.
Thanks so much for bringing me another great question, Tami, and please feel free to keep them coming!
Whenever you decide to visit, I hope that you and your Mouseketeers have a vacation filled with magic and fun!
