We are looking to plan out our family trip in the Fall. My husband and I will be traveling with 2 eager & wonderful kids - one of which is in a wheelchair. Any suggestions on accessible rides? Preferably ones that will just hook up to a chair.

Hello there, Brooke! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by and allow us to help you plan your Walt Disney World Resort vacation!

Walt Disney World Resort is an absolutely magical place for all Guests! As someone that must utilize a wheelchair when visiting the parks, I have seen firsthand how committed Walt Disney World Resort is to provide amazing experiences to each and every person! There are so many wonderful services and accommodations for Guests with a variety of disabilities including mobility disabilities.

You can actually find a very useful breakdown of the accessibility of all of the attractions at Walt Disney World Resort on their webpage! Currently, there are three different categories of accessibility of attractions including attractions in which Guests must transfer from their wheelchair or ECV into the ride vehicle, attractions that Guests must transfer from their ECV into a wheelchair, and attractions where Guests must transfer from their ECV into a wheelchair, and from their wheelchair into the ride vehicle. Fortunately, there are many attractions within all four parks that allow Guests to remain in their wheelchairs throughout their attraction experience! I would refer to the linked list above and look into the attractions that allow Guests to remain in their ECV or wheelchair and attractions that require Guests to transfer from an ECV into a wheelchair. All of these attractions should allow your child to experience the attraction without transferring from their wheelchair!

I hope you and your family have a magical time visiting Walt Disney World Resort! Please let us know if we can answer any other questions for you!
